EVANSTON — Gaby Ruth Maxfield was born on May 27, 1938, in Kenitra Morocco to Isaac Abraham Assayag and Renee Sabbah.
She left her earthly home on July 12, 2023.
On Aug. 6, 1960, she married the ‘Love of Her Life,’ James Lynwood Maxfield in Ontonagon Michigan. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Ogden Temple in 1995.
Gaby was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family. She always had a full cookie jar for all who visited her. She loved to knit and crochet.
Gaby is survived by her children: Jim (Dixie) Maxfield, Sandra (Woody) Lowe, Joy Rohde; and grandchildren: Renee, Meagan, Jake, Jessica, Sarah, J.R., Ashlee, Weston, Michelle; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, siblings: Lydia Amoyel, Elaine Maxfield, Albert Assayag and Sari Rodriguez.
Gaby was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son-in-law, Jack Rohde; and grandson, Frazier.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. July 15, 2023, at the Mountain View, Wyo.; LDS Chapel.
