Ranae was born Nov. 29, 1935, in Ogden, Utah, to Alta Irenda Roberts and John Alonzo Nibarger. She was raised in Mountain View, and she was the oldest daughter of 14 children. She had many varied interests and had degrees in business, interior design and a PhD in Psychology.
Ranae is the founder of Rapid Eye Technology and owned and operated The Rapid Eye Institute, a Certified Career School. Earlier in her life, she ran a Montessori Pre-School. Rapid Eye was the result of a mother’s desperate attempt to find something to help her autistic son, Kelton. She wrote two books, “Winter’s Flower,” about her son, Kelton; and “Reclaim Your Light Through the Miracle of Rapid Eye Technology.”
Ranae has six children and one stepdaughter: Sharlene Young, Vern Steele, Lynell Beckstrom, Kelton Steele — all of Salem, Oregon; with Allen Steele of Provo, Utah; Mark Steele of Athol, Idaho; and Robyn Johnson of Vancouver, Washington. Ranae has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Ranae is greatly loved by her family and the many Rapid Eye technicians throughout the world.
A celebration of life will be held at the family property, 3748 74th Ave. SE, Salem, Oregon, on Saturday, April 25, at noon. Everyone is invited and everyone is welcome! You can see it on Zoom using the Meeting No. 82865303734 and Passcode No. 654321.
In lieu of flowers, consider donating to Ranae’s nonprofit, Heartway Foundation, to assist scholarships for those wishing to work in the healing arts.
