LHS cross country team participated at recent state meet

ETHETE — The LHS Eagles cross country teams hit the course at Wyoming Indian High School at Ethete last Friday and Saturday with Karly Sabey earing All State honors on the girls team.
Sabey also earned All State honors in 2021.
For the girls division, Cody High School took first with a score of 58 followed by Evanston in second with a score of 71. Lyman was 10th with 236 points.
Sabey earned her All State honor by taking sixth place in the race with a time of 20:28.27. The next fastest time turned in by an Eagle in the girls division at the state meet was that of Maryanne France who was 49th with a time of 22:50.55
As for the boys division, the Lyman Eagles Lyman took 13th with a score of 361.Mountain View took first followed by Evanston in second place.
The fastest time turned in by the Lyman boys was by Brigham Fanos who crossed the line in 38th place with a time of 18:24.89. He was followed by teammate Cope Thomas at 72 with a time of 19:39.94 and Mason Staheli at 78 with 19:56.06.
