EVANSTON — Shannon Marie Madsen, 49, passed away Sept. 6, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 4, 1973, in Murray, Uta, to Stanley Quentin Johnson and Pamela Gail Pearson Johnson.

She married and was sealed to Dale Madsen on Nov. 28, 1992, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had four children.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterr-day Saints. She served in many callings, including Relief Society President, Primary President and Young Women’s Organization. Active member of the Happy Hands Club, she loved gardening, flowers, crafts and enjoying all activities with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale; and their children: Jordan (Kurtis) Suloff; Peyton (Tyus) Cornia; Spencer Madsen and Kimball (Haylee) Madsen; four grandchildren: William, Porter, Austin and Henry; her mother, Pamela Johnson; her brothers: Neil Johnson and Matthew Johnson; and sisters: Cherilyn Dye, Stacy Johnson, Becky Carlson, Karyn Langston, Brenda Kirkpatrick and Janette Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stan; and two brothers, Travis and Alex.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at 11 a.m. in the Lyman L.D.S. Stake Center in Urie, Wyoming. Friends and family will gather at the church on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
