COALVILLE, Utah — Roxie Ann Whittaker Campbell was born in Coalville, Utah, Feb. 14, 1945, to Gladys Elizabeth Whittaker and Robert ‘Bobby’ Martin Whittaker.

After Bobby passed, Gladys remarried to John Slagowski. As a youth, Roxie was a member of the original First Presbyterian Church in Mountain View. She graduated from Mountain View High School in 1963 and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, to attend nursing school. In Salt Lake City she met Randy J. Campbell, and the two were married Nov.b6, 1971.

Roxie was a devout Christian her entire life and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sandy, Utah. One of her favorite sayings to her children was “Just keep your eyes on Jesus.”

Roxie was passionate about reading, creative-writing and painting while Randy was a quiet, stoic and hardworking man; a rock that could always be counted on to protect and provide for his family. Roxie and Randy brought their family back to Mountain View frequently and spent many vacations camping and fishing with their children at Bridger Lake.

Roxie and Randy passed 11 days from one another – Feb. 26, Roxie, and March 7, Randy, of 2020.

They are survived by their three children: Christian de la Mare, David John Campbell and Ann Campbell Hunt as well as seven grandchildren.

The pandemic delayed the family’s ability to gather together and bury their parents remains.

The children and grandchildren of Roxie and Randy will lay their remains to rest in the Fort Bridger Cemetery on June 11, 2022, at 11 a.m. All who wish, are welcome to attend and pay tribute to Roxie and Randy’s lives and say their final goodbyes. Come as you are.
