THERMOPOLIS — Roy C. Richins, 85, of Thermopolis, Wyo.; passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, of natural causes at the Hot Springs Health.
He was born Sept. 26, 1937, to Kenneth and Esther Richins in Ogden, Utah. He married Frances Stephens on Sept. 24, 1960. Their marriage and life was blessed by three sons.
Roy was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army in 1962. He retired from Iron Workers Local 27 and the Uinta County Road and Bridger. Roy was a perfectionist who could build anything and enjoyed life to the fullest through simple pleasures: ranching, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Frances Richins; sons: Kendell (Peggy), Steve (Sandy) and Wes (Delsy); seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray; and grandson, Josh.
Family and friends may gather May 20, 10:30 a.m., at the Fort Bridger Cemetery at for military honors for Roy. There will also be a gathering at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger 11 a.m. to celebrate Roy’s life.
Cremation has taken place. Mortimore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
