CALL TO ORDER
PRESENT
Mayor Bryan Ayres, Council President, Jamy Ferrin, Council Members, Michael Tims, and Brittney Brunski-Deckert, Clerk, Penny Robbins and Public Works, Jacob Porter, Attorney Brandon Taylor attended virtually.
Meeting called to order at 7:01 pm.
AGENDA APPROVAL
Motion made by Council Member Tims, Seconded by Council Member Brunski-Deckert, to approve the agenda with the addition of executive session for personnel following other council business, motion carried.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion made by Council Member Tims, Seconded by Council Member Brunski-Deckert to approve August 17, and August 20, 2026, minutes, motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Bettie Tripp requested extended hours for the Cowboy Bar and Badlands on the evening of September 6, 2026, into the morning of September 7, 2026. The request is for normal business operations to continue until 3 a.m. to allow time for cleanup and arranging rides for patrons. Motion by Council President Ferrin, Seconded by Council Member Tims, to approve extended hours until 3:00 am on the evening of September 6, 2026 into the morning of September 7, 2026, motion carried.

Gas Service, $40.69, Homax, Fuel, $3708.46, Pioneer Manufacturing, Park Maintenance, $441.96, Town of Mountain View, Utility Bills, $447.56, Union Telephone Co, $1494.19, USA Bluebook, Water Supplies, $205.75, Westar Printing, Park Signs, $9.25. Seconded by Council Member Tims, motion carried.
In other business: Brayden Curtis attended the council meeting for his government class.
Motion by Council Member Tims, Seconded by Council President Ferrin to adjourn the regular meeting into executive session at 7:06 pm, motion carried.
Motion by Council Member Tims, Seconded by Council President Ferrin to reconvene the regular meeting at 7:28 pm, motion carried.
Motion by Council Member Tims, seconded by Council Member Brunski-Deckert, to post an RFP for a prosecuting attorney until September 30, 2026 and reviewing proposals at the October 6, 2026 meeting, motion carried.

Councilman Moretti made a motion to approve the agenda, second by Councilwoman Wilbur, motion carried unanimously.
Councilman Berg made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 17, 2026, Business Meeting and Work Session, second by Councilman Bramlett, motion carried unanimously.
Councilwoman Wilbur made a motion to approve the Alcohol Beverage Permit for Lucas Flores @ Heritage Barn on December 12, 2026, second by Councilman Moretti, motion carried unanimously.
Councilwoman Wilbur made a motion to approve Purchase Order #2026-09 to Western Precision LLC. in the amount of $247,186.00, second by Councilman Bramlett. Jared Crane gave an overview of the truck, Jared also explained that the BVJP will draft an agreement to rent this truck out from the town. Motion carried unanimously.
