The Uinta County Commissioners will accept applications for a vacant seat on the Uinta County Predatory Management Board.  Applications can be found at www.uintacounty.com under the Documents tab or at the County Clerk’s Office located at 225 9th St. Evanston.  Completed applications are due in the County Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m. February 1, 2024.  Applications can be mailed to 225 9th St. Evanston, WY  82930; faxed to 307-783-0511 or emailed to amhutchinson@uintacounty.com.

Minutes of the Business Meeting

held January 4, 2024

Held at Lyman Town Hall, Council Chambers

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hooton, present was Councilmember’s Bronson Berg,  Jimmy Bramlett and Gregg Moretti.  Eric Quinney was present via Zoom.

Councilman Moretti made a motion to approve the agenda as amended, second by Councilman Bramlett, motion carried unanimously.

Councilman Bramlett made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 21, 2023, Business Meeting and Work Session, second by Councilman Berg, motion carried unanimously.

Resolution # 2024-01 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DESIGNATING SIGNATORIES FOR THE TOWN OF LYMAN BANK ACCOUNTS Councilman Moretti made a motion to approve Resolution #2024-01, second by Councilman Berg, motion carried unanimously.

Resolution # 2024-02 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING 1ST BANK AS A DEPOSITORY BANK FOR THE BASIC MUNICIPAL ACCOUNTS OF THE TOWN OF LYMAN, WYOMING Councilman Berg made a motion to approve Resolution # 2024-02, second by Councilman Quinney, motion carried unanimously.

Resolution # 2024-03 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE BRIDGER VALLEY PIONEER NEWSPAPER AS THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER FOR THE TOWN OF LYMAN, WYOMING, TO PUBLISH LEGAL NOTICES, ADVERTISE FOR BIDS, PRINT MINUTES OF OFFICIAL MEETINGS, AND TO PUBLISH ORDINANCES AND OTHER DOCUMENTS AS MAY BE REQUIRED BY LAW Councilman Bramlett made a motion to approve Resolution # 2024-03, second by Councilman Moretti, motion carried unanimously.

Resolution # 2024-04 A RESOLUTION CANCELLING THE FIRST TOWN COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 2024 Councilman Moretti made a motion to approve Resolution # 2024-04, second by Councilman Bramlett, motion carried unanimously.

Councilman Berg made a motion to approve a contract settlement to Todd and Amy Jones in the amount of $7,256.24, second by Councilman Bramlett, motion passed. Councilman Moretti voted nay.   

Councilman Berg motioned to amend his motion to not pay the exploration portion of the Todd and Amy Jones contract settlement, this amount that would be paid is $5,434.71, motion failed from lack of a second.

Councilman Berg made a motion to take Petersen Landscaping off the table, second by Councilman Moretti, motion carried unanimously.

Councilman Berg made a motion to approve the following bills:  Bridger Valley Propane – animal shelter $260.74, Century Equipment – supplies $313.17, Chelsie Fredrickson – contract labor $600.00, Cook Brothers Broadcasting – advertising $210.00, Dean Stout – judge contract $1,200.00, Empower Trust Company – 457 retirement $3,868.00, Wyoming Workers Compensation – workers comp. $1,144.79, John Deere Financial – uniforms $294.96, Hooton Tech – tech support $22,467.00, Mountainland Supply – supplies $133.94, Petersen Landscaping – repair on Sara Hunt yard $400.00, Peterson Legal Services – attorney contract $3,000.00, Dominion Energy – utilities $7,027.61, Tom’s HVAC – heat at PW new shop $7,400.00, Union Telephone – phone service $1,166.45, Wyoming Retirement – retirement $11,287.56, Postmaster – mail water bills $297.43, Heidi Spray – reimbursement for gift for craft fair Santa $50.00,   second by Councilman Bramlett, motion passed. Mayor Hooton recuised himself.

Councilman Berg made a motion to adjourn into and Executive Session for personnel and potential litigation, second by Councilman Moretti, motion carried unanimously.
